On February 13, the Yangluo Eighth Primary School (Shigang Primary School), constructed by the Municipal Company, was officially handed over for use. Over 500 students welcomed their first day of school at the new facility.
Located in the northern area of “Heart of Yangluo”, within the Yangtze River New Area of Wuhan, the new campus covers an area of 15,800 square meters. It is designed to accommodate 24 classes and up to 1,080 students. The new campus complex includes a five-story teaching building, a canteen with one underground level and two above-ground levels, a covered sports ground, and a 6,000-square-meter outdoor sports field. As the only new public primary school in the “Heart of Yangluo” area of the Yangtze River New Area, the completion of this school has effectively alleviated the difficulty of school enrollment for local children and injected new vitality into the region’s educational development.
Throughout the construction process, the project team consistently adhered to the service philosophy of “Choosing MCC20 means choosing peace of mind,” overcoming numerous challenges and demonstrating exceptional professional capabilities and a pioneering spirit. Faced with technical difficulties such as winter freezing rain, the installation of large-span steel trusses, and complex foundation treatment, the project team developed scientific construction plans, optimized processes, and strictly controlled construction quality. During the winter freezing rain, anti-freezing measures were implemented to ensure the smooth progress of concrete pouring and steel structure construction. For the installation of large-span steel trusses, advanced lifting techniques and precise measurement methods were employed to ensure safety and accuracy. In addressing complex foundation issues, geological surveys and specialized design solutions effectively resolved stability concerns.
The project team consistently upheld the concept of green construction, strictly controlling dust, noise, and construction waste to minimize the impact on the surrounding environment. Through meticulous construction management and technological innovation, the project team successfully completed the construction, delivering a durable and fully functional modern campus for the Yangtze River New Area. This achievement has laid a solid foundation for the long-term development of education and marked a successful conclusion to the project’s quality performance. The Yangluo Eighth Primary School New Construction Project was awarded the 2024 “Wuhan Municipal High-Quality Structural Engineering Award.”
